Customers using Microsoft Vista Operating System

NOTE - ScorePAD versions 5.2 or later are not compatible with Vista. You will need to upgrade to our current version to ensure Vista compatibility.

To allow ScorePAD to be completely compatible with Windows Vista you may need to do the following:

Using a Combo version with Palm scoring -- Palm.com has posted a Vista version of its palm desktop software that you will need to download first, before installing ScorePAD. That can be found here:

http://www.palm.com/us/support/downloads/windesk62.html

Also, be aware that Palm has made a selected number of their units Vista compatible. You will need to check the list on the link above. If your Palm is not on the list you will need to contact Palm directly.

Below is the Vista compatible link our programmers have released.  This should solve your hotsyning issues. Click on the link and save the EXE file to your desktop (save it over your old one). Then double click it and install this version over your previous version.

To allow your Desktop Version of ScorePAD to run properly you may need to do the following:

Locate your ScorePAD icon on your desktop

Right click on the icon and select Properties

Click on the Compatibility tab

Place a check in the box where it says "Run program as administrator"

If you are still having trouble hotsyncing:

On your Vista Desktop – go to Start --> All Programs --> Palm and right-click on the Hotsync Manager and select Properties. Now click on the Compatibility tab and place a check in the checkbox that says Run the program as administrator. Then re-boot your computer.

One of the main problems with Vista compatibility and ScorePAD is that Vista blocks the conduits that allow the hotsyncing process with the palm. To check on this open up your Hotsync Manager and select Applications and see if ScorePAD and RosterPAD are on the list of conduits. If they are not you will need to do the following:

Fix for customers who are running Vista and not getting the applications/conduits in his hotsync manager. Here’s what you need to do to resolve this:

Go to Computer --> C:Drive --> Program Files --> ScorePAD Sports --> ScorePAD Baseball --> Palm -->

****Now you want to look for the DLL files that are named RSTRPCND.DLL and SCRPDCND.DLL

Then you need to copy those files and put them into the Palm folder found within the Program Files folder.

RE-Boot your computer

Now check the hotsync manager and ScorePAD and RosterPAD should be in the list of applications and you should be able to hotsync the games.

I'm attempting to run Scorepad on Vista Ultimate 64-bit Service Pack 1--ran the update for Vista Compatibility and receive the following error:

-2147217404 - Invalid Machine Code

Any idea as to how to fix this as I've tried running it as the administrator and receiving the same error.

Yes, the fix for Invalid Machine Code error can be found on the forum under "Frequent Error Messages" or on our FAQs page of our website.

Got it resolved, thanks!

Should have looked more closely at the boards.
