Well, we just finished a major tournament. It would have been nice for me to have been able to publish stats pages every day for each of the 10 teams. But I couldn't. I couldn't because Windows Deluxe v8 doesn't seem to want to include the players' names in the output. That, obviously, is no good.

I'm a pretty patient person. I bought v8 a year ago because of all of it could do. I was patient when I discovered that you had mistakenly included real-time scoring in the demo version, as that was the major selling point for me. After all, you promised us real-time scoring "soon" in a new version of the software.

I and others have made a long list of bugs. All we've gotten in response is "we'll let the programmers know."

We were told the new and improved ScorePAD would be out by the end of April (that was "the goal").

It's the end of August. Nothing. Almost a month ago, I asked for an update on the new version. I got yet another "I'll get back to you," followed by dead silence.

You guys would sell a lot more software if you actually fixed bugs and fulfilled your promises.

Meanwhile, I will have to do some unnecessarily tedious work to generate the same data output that your software is supposed to do all by itself. Angry

Okay, we all share your frustration and appreciate your patience. I know our programmers are working very hard with a very limited staff and resources right now. I will see if I can get a more accurate update from them on things -- timewise. Thanks.

I find it simply amazing that the customer service for this product is non-existent. I don't understand why it takes weeks to get an answer to a simple question.

I think if any of us were holding our breath waiting for an answer, we would have died by now.

Somehow I don't think this is how ScorePAD treats its professional customers.

It's very frustrating that this is always the response we get, and then nothing happens -- no followup.

I just don't understand why the HTML problems with Version 8 were allowed to happen (it's always good to test before releasing software) and why we can't at least have those problems fixed immediately.

I agree with you. But I think the programmers actually made the stat apply to the first batter a pitcher faced in the game -- a pretty much meaningless stat. It's another careless oversight of many the programmers made. ScorePad doesn't seem to be at all concerned with fixing these errors.

That's what I thought at first, but this particular pitcher with the 0 FBRS% stat is listed as having no First Batters at all, even though he started 6 games (sorry, I didn't mention this tidbit in the original post). A very troubling piece of data that makes me question all the other stats in the system.

I'm using the iPod touch sw this season and I reenter it into Desktop 2008 Release 99.
(a major pain in the arse, BTW) Never should have stopped using the Palm version.
Recently, I noticed a non-default pitching stat called "first batter reached pct" (FBR%). I thought it was a good stat, so I checked it out.
First thing I saw was one pitcher had a 0% stat, which I knew wasn't correct. I activated a few more "first batter" stats and saw we had only 23 first batters in 209 innings pitched. I would think the FBR% stat would mean the percent of first batters a team pitcher faced in an inning. So total First Pitch At Bats would be at least equal to innings pitched.

Is this a known bug? Fixed in a future($) release?
